Start Your Colon Cleanse Detox Right with these 6 Easy Steps!

If you’ve been suffering at the hands of excessive weight gain, frequent headaches, skin problems, and even constipation these are telltale signs that your body may need to undergo a colon detox. Unfortunately, as our body is introduced to diets high in saturated fats, stress, and even environmental pollutants, these factors all play a role on our body in that they inadvertently contribute to a level of toxin build-up that necessitates the need for a colon detox.

Fortunately, you can get rid of toxins quickly and easily. However, before you undergo a colon cleanse detox, there are essentials that you must thoroughly understand before undertaking this measure to rid your body of toxins:

#1: Colon cleansing is not meant to be a one-time quick fix. Instead, this technique should be used to gently in the beginning to jump start the cleansing process. From there, cleansing your colon should become a regular habit to prevent buildup of toxins later on down the road.

#2: If you are pregnant, nursing, or are experiencing your menstrual cycle, steer clear of detoxifying your body.

#3: Do not rush into drastic colon cleansing methods. Instead, start with a simple cleanse and if warranted, consider more potent methods to help flush your body of built up toxins.

#4: Be sure that you plan appropriately for a cleanse. This means that you should allow yourself at least 4-24 hours to see the effects (or purging) of toxins that will ultimately be removed through a series of bowel movements.

Never rush a colon cleanse and be sure to plan ahead by abstaining from events which would require you to be away from your home (or a bathroom) for long periods of time once you begin your cleansing program.

#5: Thoroughly research the mandatory dietary needs for your colon cleansing program. In most cases, a list of foods to avoid will be provided. Oftentimes, these include heavy foods such as red meat, beef, poultry, etc.
In the same vein, ensure that you have purchased all of the foods mandatory for your cleanse to be effective. Be prepared to visit your grocery store with a local checklist of fruits and vegetables required. There’s nothing worse than having to make quick run to the supermarket in the middle of your detoxification program.

#6: Be sure to consult with your health care professional before you adopt any detoxification/cleansing program. It is important that you provide your health care professional with the full details of your medical history as to avoid any potential side effects that cleansing could bring on.
